Nacap is pleased to have executed a contract with APA Group for the Yamarna Gas Pipeline (YGP) project in December 2017.
APA will design, build, own and operate the pipeline and the 45 MW gas-fired power station, at a total construction cost of around $180 million.
The YGP project involves construction of a 198-kilometre DN150 natural gas high pressure pipeline to be built east of Laverton in Western Australia, running from a connection point off the existing Eastern Goldfields Gas Pipeline to the new Gruyere gold mine project site. Also included are high pressure pipeline and facilities, including pipeline offtake and isolation, main line valve, filtration, metering, heating and pressure control to control and measure gas delivery suitable for the requirements of the mine site.
Works commenced in January 2018 with mobilising and establishing a 200 person camp, with the balance of the field pipeline works commencing February 2018. A high production spread of plant will perform these works over the course of only 4 months and we expect to complete the works by the end of the June 2018 quarter.
